Guardiola strongly denied rumours linking him with Juve earlier in the season and he was again dismissive when asked about the Turin club before Saturday’s FA Cup final.

He said: ‘I’m not going to Juventus or to Italy. I have two more years here.

‘I’m not going to move, I’m satisfied here, I’m not going anywhere. Next season I will be manager of Manchester City.’

Allegri was widely expected to leave despite leading the Old Lady to their eighth consecutive league title with six games to spare.

Italian media reported that the club had made contact with the Tottenham boss last week, with the Argentine coach reportedly demanding an enormous £17million-per-year contract, according to last Saturday’s Corriere dello Sport

Pochettino himself has made it clear that he is seriously considering leaving Tottenham at the end of the campaign if they don’t attempt to build on their first major European Cup final appearance.
