Territorial Bondi locals have unleashed on a personal trainer who advertised his unique ‘jungle gym’ beach classes on a community Facebook page likening them to the Flintstones and slamming the monthly fee.
The quirky fitness classes use equipment made from natural materials like stone and wood and are set to start on Monday February 14 on the sands of Bondi Beach with attendees paying $40 per session or up to $99 a week.
‘Bondi Jungle Fit is the new group class coming to Bondi Beach. It’s the only jungle group class in Australia that lets you train in nature with nature! Everything is made of stone, wood and bamboo!,’ the fitness trainer wrote in a post to Bondi Local Loop Facebook group.

‘Man and I thought Thailand was done over by tourists, Bondi is dead to me, has been for a while. So sad,’ one person wrote.
‘You’re kidding aren’t ya mate,’ a second simply commented with a series of laughing emojis.

Despite the man’s best efforts the trolling didn’t stop with one personal likening the ordeal to the notorious Amalfi Beach Cub controversy when an entrepreneur who wanted to open a European-style club on Bondi Beach received major backlash and even death threats for the proposal.
