Police arrest gunman caught on CCTV chasing children, seven and 15, into a house

This is the terrifying moment a man chases two children into a house while threatening them with a handgun. 

CCTV footage shows a seven and 15-year-old running away from the gunman as he wields his weapon.

The children make their way into the back of a property in Stockton, Teesside, while the gunman walks in after them.

After sprinting towards the children with his gun, the man then leaves while continuing to point his weapon towards the youngsters

In the footage the youngest child can be seen carrying what is believed to be two cricket bats. 

Police later arrested the gunman at his home – thought to be located a street away from the house filmed in the footage.

Officers were seen surrounding the property while a police helicopter flew above. 

Armed officers as well as police dogs were also captured at the scene.
