Pregnant Tiffany Watson reveals she had ‘awful’ loss anxiety

Pregnant Tiffany Watson has revealed she had ‘awful’ baby loss anxiety during her first trimester, saying: ‘It was one of the worst times of my life’.

The Made In Chelsea star, 29, announced last week that she is expecting her first baby with husband Cameron McGeehan, posting a carousel of Instagram snaps.

And now in a Q&A on Tuesday she reflected on her early months after revealing she sadly suffered a miscarriage with a previous pregnancy on the show last year.

One follower asked: ‘How did you cope with first trimester anxiety? (going through the same rn.’

Tiffany then replied: ‘So sorry to hear that I think the first thing is just accepting that you will have anxiety and there is no point fighting it/getting annoyed at yourself for having it.

‘For me having regular scans was the only thing that helped me and I’d count down to each one. Also just telling myself I’ve done everything I possibly can and there’s nothing else I can do to control the outcome.

‘It really is awful and probably one of the worst times of my life to be honest. And that’s not to say I don’t have anxiety anymore I definitely do I.’

As well as the Q&A on Tuesday she shared two new bump snaps – one in a knitted grey dress and another in a black top and jeans.

After announcing her news on Instagram the following day she took to the social media platform to thank her followers for their support.

Sharing her anxieties over announcing her pregnancy, Tiffany said: ‘Thank you so so much for all your lovely messages. I was so scared to go public with our news.’

Alongside the caption was a sweet video of one of her baby scans, which revealed the moment a sonographer showed Tiffany and Cameron their unborn child.

In the next post, Tiffany went on to thank fans for sharing their experience with pregnancy after previously suffering a miscarriage.

She said: ‘Thank you so much to those that have shared their story with me about their pregnancy after loss anxiety too. It really is hard.

‘For those going through miscarriage or any form of miscarriage related anxiety I am sending so much love and I know exactly how you feel.’

It comes after Tiffany, who tied the knot with Cameron last year, showcased her bare bump in a cream knitted cardigan, teamed with matching trousers.

Footballer Cameron, who donned a matching cream ensemble, hugged Tiffany from behind before kissing the baby bump alongside their pet pooch Kiki.

She shared the happy news with her 567K followers and captioned the post: ‘Baby McGeehan on the way.’

Tiffany then touched on previously having a miscarriage: ‘Pregnancy after miscarriage can come with a lot of anxiety and I’ve been having to take it one day at a time but very grateful for where we are on our journey’.

Tiffany’s celebrity pals, including Louise Thompson, Zara McDermott and Binky Felstead, congratulated her in the comment section.

Her sister and soon-to-be auntie Lucy penned: ‘The best news ever. I can’t wait to meet them’

In April 2022, Tiffany revealed that she suffered a devastating miscarriage at 8 weeks.

While the pregnancy hadn’t been planned, the E4 beauty explained how she became ‘very attached to the baby’ before being told during an early scan that the unborn baby hadn’t grown.

Tiffany went on to tell co-star Olivia Bentley how she endured further trauma as she underwent a failed operation to remove the foetus, before being given pills to induce a miscarriage.

Sitting together and discussing her engagement and upcoming wedding, Tiffany told Olivia: ‘It’s been such a big high, but I also feel like I had a massive low at the end of last year.

As she began to cry, Tiffany said: ‘So basically at the end of last year, I found out I was pregnant, which came as a massive surprise, because we weren’t trying or anything.

‘It was a few weeks after we got engaged when we found out, which was such a shock, and then…’ with Olivia asking: ‘And then you lost it?’ to which Tiffany nodded.

Explaining why she hadn’t told anyone but her family about her heartbreaking loss, Tiffany insisted: ‘I hate people feeling sorry for me and I hate people making a fuss over me.

‘It was nice to hang out with people and not talk about it. But I do want to talk about it because it’s such a massive thing.

‘Yes, I wasn’t trying. Yes, it’s not ideal timing. But at the same time, I was like, “I’m in a committed relationship, this is a surprise earlier than we would have liked it to be, but that’s fine.”

‘And then I had really, really bad morning sickness, like awful morning sickness. And then I woke up one day and the morning sickness was completely gone and I was like, “this is weird”. Then I started feeling really normal.

‘I hadn’t had any scans because you don’t have a scan until you’re further along.’

The blonde beauty then explained how she booked an early scan ‘just to make sure everything’s fine’, but after being asked by the doctor how far along she was meant to be, he delivered the heartbreaking news.

Tiffany recalled: ‘I said “I’m meant to be eight weeks” and you can just kind of tell straight away. He was like “no, what’s showing in there is small, it hasn’t grown”.

‘I had to have an operation, and then it didn’t work, which was even worse. So then I had to take the pills, and that worked.

‘I think going through it was awful, because even though we weren’t trying, I feel like when you find out, you do become very attached to the baby.

‘You’re mourning a loss of something, a loss of something you never really had.’
