This is the amazing moment a high school graduate seized an opportunity and took his graduation photos while wakeboarding. 

Andrew Shaffer, 17, had the opportunity to wakeboard while at Lake Powell, Utah.

Amazing footage shows Andrew balancing on the wakeboard, holding the rope with one hand.

He hoops the rope around his elbow while he stands on the wakeboard and puts on a graduation gown.

He then uses both hands to put the graduation cap on as he keeps the rope around his arm. 

A photographer starts to take pictures of Andrew as he holds the rope with one hand.

Andrew lets go of the rope and balances on the wakeboard while the photographer continues taking photos of him. 

Andrew said: ‘I wasn’t expecting to get access to the wakeboard, but we were lucky enough to befriend people with nice boats and I capitalised on my opportunity.

‘It was quite challenging to put the cap and gown on and, being my first time wakesurfing, it was a struggle to stay on the wake without the rope.’ 

The video was posted on TikTok on July 8 and has received 2.2 million views and more than 325,000 likes.
