  • He appears to be in distress as he screams and shouts while police say ‘relax’
  • Passenger claims to have had an ‘annual gold card’ valid for travel without ticket

A ‘fare evader’ who was held down by four British Transport Police on a London Midlands Train claims the officers knocked out his teeth as they removed him from the train.

The man can be seen handcuffed on the ground as police surround him and prepare to remove him from the train at Bletchley, Milton Keynes.

A train conductor stands by with the man’s bag as the man struggles against the officers shouting obscenities.

He can be heard saying: ‘What the f*** man, someone record this s*** man.’

The man becomes more agitated and starts shouting and screaming as the police hold him down, seeming to be in pain.

He says: ‘Ahhhhh f*** you’re hurting my ankle man.’

When the police tell him to ‘calm yourself down’ he repeatedly shouts: ‘You relax yourself’.

Heavy force was then used by multiple police officers and the conductor piling on top of the passenger

An announcement is made over the train loudspeaker by the senior conductor.

He says: ‘Ladies and Gentleman this is the senior conductor speaking I do apologise for the continued delay here at Bletchly.

‘I’m afraid we have BTP (British Transport Police) dealing with a fare evader on board.

‘I do apologise we will be on the way as soon as we can and we are currently waiting for assistance.’

Four police hold the man down, as he screams, a fellow passenger can be heard asking why so many people are needed

Four police hold the man down, as he screams, a fellow passenger can be heard asking why so many people are needed

The incident took place on Monday evening at 8.49pm.

As four police hold the man down a fellow passenger can be heard asking why it is necessary.

The passenger says: ‘The point is, why does it take so many people to hold him down like that.

‘This is the reason that a lot of the time when situations happen like this the guy who’s on the floor dies, because it’s too much.’

The passenger claims to have had a valid ‘annual gold card’ which entitles you to travel on some routes without a ticket.

A spokesman for British Transport Police said: ‘At 8.49pm on 01/07, officers were called to Bletchley station after reports of a passenger being verbally abusive to a member of rail staff.

‘Officers attended and a 22-year-old man from Colindale was arrested on suspicion of a public order offence.

‘During the arrest, the man sustained a cut to his lip – he was also arrested on suspicion of resisting arrest. He was later released under police investigation while enquiries continue.’
