An adorable albino fox has been spotted darting between cars in north London.

Chimanski Periera, 42, originally thought the animal was a dog and could not understand why it was playing with other foxes outside his house in Angel.

But on closer inspection he realised it was actually a small white fox that he was watching from his front window, Metro.co.uk reported.

Albino foxes are extremely rare in Britain and Mr Periera grabbed his camera in order to film it as it ran among other foxes on the street.

Mr Periera said: ‘I could see a few normal foxes running around and then I saw what I thought was a dog.

‘I thought it was funny that a dog was playing with some foxes and that is when I realised. I was amazed.’

Albino foxes have thick white fur in winter that turns a greyish brown colour during the warmer months.

They’re able to withstand temperatures up to -58 degrees Fahrenheit and have a rounded body, short legs and small ears.

And it’s not the first time the furry creatures have been spotted in London.

In 2015 two napping albino foxes were pictured in a back garden in Brixton, south London.

It is usually extremely uncommon for an albino fox to survive in to adulthood as they are more visible to any predators — although there are few threats to their safety in London.
