The woman involved in the multi-car crash suspected to involve Kansas City Chiefs wide receiver Rashee Rice has started a $20,000 fundraiser in hopes to both buy a new car and cover the damages caused by the wreck involving one of her children.

Kayla Quinn, a 27-year-old single mother of two, set up her own GoFundMe page on Monday, two days after her vehicle – a white Hyundai Accent – was totaled by Rice’s Corvette and a Lamborghini in Dallas, Texas.

She shared: ‘As many of you local Dallas Ft. Worth resident may know, my (sic) 4-year-old son and I were the first to be hit by two persons speeding down highway 75 on Saturday March 30, 2024 and they ran away from the scene. Therefore, I don’t have any information to contact their insurance to get transportation for work or my kids.

‘I’m not sure if any of you have seen the video but I thought I lost my life as well as my sons during the impact.’

Quinn, who lives in the Dallas suburb of Plano, added that she’s grateful to have come out from the crash alive along with her preschooler.

Recalling the incident, which she described as a ‘horrific’ experience, she wrote in her fundraiser’s description that ‘God managed to spare our lives and I’m so grateful. My son and I are alive to tell the story and again I’m grateful….

‘At this point I need help. My car was totaled and I need (sic) funds to purchase a new vehicle and I need your assistance. All donations are greatly appreciated.’

As of Monday evening, $155 has been raised toward Quinn’s five-digit goal, with the biggest donation being $100, so far.

Rice, on the other hand, is cooperating with local police, according to his lawyer, as authorities suspect that he fled the scene after crashing his Corvette into Quinn’s Hyundai.

Quinn also claims that the five men who crashed into her showed ‘no sympathy’ before driving away from the scene.

Rice, 23, helped the Chiefs win a second straight Super Bowl in February. He has ties to Texas due to playing high school football in North Richland Hills before going onto represent SMU in college.

Dashcam footage from Saturday’s crash shows a Lamborghini and Corvette going at high speed and colliding with Quinn’s Hyundai on the North Central Expressway, pulling the cars across the road.

The Dallas Morning News also quoted a witness saying they saw one of the men take ‘guns and bags from the vehicles’ before leaving the scene.

The incident is believed to have happened at 6:20pm local time. The Lamborghini is thought to have crashed into the median wall and caused ‘a chain reaction collision involving four other vehicles’, before the culprits fled the scene.
