Real estate sign blown away during Sandy washes up five years later 4,000 miles away in FRANCE

The signs of destruction from Hurricane Sandy are still surfacing, even thousands of miles off the east coast where the storm wreaked havoc in 2012.

A New Jersey realtor shared on social media how an advertising board once attached to one of its properties has washed up almost 4,000 miles away on a beach in France.

The discovery was made by a man named Hannes Frank in Bordeaux who reached out to Diane Turton, Realtors, who in turn confirmed the sign belonged to them.

The sign that was washed away in the Atlantic Ocean is reported to be from a waterfront listing on the Jersey Shore.

A spokesperson from the agency confirmed the home survived the storm over half a decade ago although the advertising board was found broken.  

The remarkable episode was shared on the company’s Facebook page, with the post garnering over 500 shares at the time of writing. 

The company headquartered in Point Pleasant proudly declared how the incident ‘truly proves’ they are a ‘global real estate company’.
