Real Housewives of Sydney star Caroline Gaultier shocks viewers after gleefully sharing a horrifying story about the gruesome death of a pony she hired for a birthday party

Real Housewives of Sydney star Caroline Gaultier has horrified fans of the series after seemingly smirking while telling a horrifying story about the death of a pony.

The socialite was sharing how she’d hired a pony for her daughter’s birthday party, but it never showed up to the event.

‘We had magical pony parties, but that pony died,’ she explained to producers.

‘It was a unicorn party and we hired a little pony, and on the way he accidentally fell out the back of the truck and died,’ she continued with an awkward smirk.

‘Yes, dressed up in a unicorn outfit,’ Caroline added.

The brunette beauty told the story again on Nova’s Ricki-Lee, Tim & Joel, calling the experience ‘really traumatic’ because she had to hide the animal’s gruesome death from her young daughter Aria.

Laughing about the incident, she said that she heard about the Pony’s demise on the news that night.

‘My husband goes, “Um, Caroline, they’ve just scraped up a pony off the highway and he was dressed like a unicorn.”

‘Apparently he accidentally fell out the back of the truck in full costume.’

Real Housewives of Sydney fans were shocked by the story, with many flooding to social media to express their distaste over it.

‘There is not one single thing that is smirk-worthy about that,’ wrote one.

‘That is a horrible story to tell! The sly smirk at the end doesn’t do her any favours either,’ added another.

‘That isn’t funny and her reaction is grotesque,’ said one.
