Reggie Kray’s ‘adopted son’ sexually abused 13-year-old girl and threatened to kill her mother

Reggie Kray’s ‘adoptive son’ told his fiancée’s 13-year-old daughter she was ‘driving him crazy’ before threatening to put her mother ‘in concrete boots in the Thames’ during months of sexual abuse, his victim has revealed.  

Peter Gillett, 59, was jailed for 18 years at Lewes Crown Court in 2018 for offences including rape and indecent assault. Natasha Tullett, 43, says he is a ‘predator’ who was ‘always ready to pounce’ and scared her so much she used to wet herself.

After taking her virginity when she was just 13 years old Natasha says her abuser, who was engaged to marry her mother, told her he would kill his fiancée if Natasha ever spoke about what he had done to her, the Mirror reported.

Gillett called himself the ‘adoptive son’ of East-End gangster Reggie Kray after the pair shared a cell at Parkhurst, Isle of Wight. They made a record together and Gillett proposed to Natasha’s mother with a ring he says Reggie gave to him.

Natasha was 12 when her mother met Gillett through a neighbour. But within weeks of proposing the ‘loud, funny, in-yer-face showman’ sexually abused her daughter.

Natasha said: ‘He was a ­predator, always ready to pounce and afterwards he’d just give me that look. And I’d be so scared sometimes I’d wet myself.

‘I’m glad he’s ­behind bars. I hope he rots.’

When they first met Gillett took Natasha out in his car to people’s houses and made her feel loved. He would tell her: ‘Your mum doesn’t love you, only I love you.’

One morning the grooming intensified when Natasha got in to bed with her mother for a cuddle and biscuits. When her mother got out to go for a bath Gillett moved closer to Natasha.

‘I was on my side with my back to him. Suddenly he pressed his crotch against me and whispered, “your body is changing. You’re driving me crazy”, I just froze,’ she said.

And just days later, when the pair were next alone, Gillett abused her. ‘I watched in horror as he then got up from the sofa and untied his dark blue toweling dressing gown.

‘He was naked underneath. I was in tears. When he finished he said, “remember I’m the one who loves you and cares for you”. I sat there in shock and disbelief’, Natasha added. 

When she was 13 years old Gillett told her he would take her virginity to prepare her for life.

She said: ‘I froze, overwhelmed with fear, as he climbed on top of me and raped me.’

When he finished he told her: ‘You say anything and your mother will be in concrete boots in the Thames.’

Even when her mother’s relationship with Gillett deteriorated and the couple split up, the abuse continued.

When she was 14 Gillett picked Natasha up from school, took her to his home and attacked her.

‘My head exploded with pain as it hit the floor. He started kicking, stamping and punching me repeatedly,’ she says.

Natasha never saw him again. She left school at 16 to do a hairdressing apprenticeship and is now married with two daughters.

When Natasha saw him online in 2016 she called the police. And in February 2018 Gillett was convicted. ‘It took my a long time but I’m not a frightened child anymore and I want the world to know who he really is – a twisted, evil paedophile,’ she said.
