Amid the contentious Florida spa prostitution scandal Robert Kraft has found himself ensnared in, the New England Patriots owner has found some unlikely allies in rap superstars Jay-Z and Meek Mill.
The trio were pictured together arm-in-arm on Wednesday as part of a meeting for the group REFORM alliance, which was established by Mill in January to enact drastic changes within the criminal justice system.
Kraft, Jay-Z and Mill all serve on the organization’s board along with CNN’s Van Jones – Reform’s CEO – and Philadelphia 76ers co-owner Michael Rubin.
As a collective, REFORM’s members pledged $50 million at the beginning of the year to ‘fight different’ against the criminal justice system, and to see one million people released from prison within the next five years.
Their meeting on Wednesday was held to discuss the group’s progress so far, policy reform targets and national crime rates.

‘On January 23, we launched @Reform. Today, our board got together to talk about what we’ve accomplished, and how much more we have to do,’ REFORM tweeted.
‘Thank you all for your time, energy, and commitment to freeing people trapped in our broken justice system.’
Despite his own contentious affairs, Kraft was pictured standing front and center among the social activists on the same day that his lawyers were fighting tooth and nail in a Florida courtroom to ensure intimate surveillance footage – allegedly showing Kraft engaging in sexual acts with a masseuse – be kept from public viewing.

But in what may be a sign of things to come, the 77-year-old received some good news yesterday when a judge presiding over a separate case ruled that a hidden video said to show two patrons engaging in sex acts with workers in a Martin County spa was ruled as impermissible evidence.
In the neighboring county to where Kraft’s alleged rendezvous in Jupiter are said to have taken place, the ruling could have a profound impact on the billionaire’s upcoming trial.
‘Because of its highly intrusive nature, the requirements to curtail what can be captured must be scrutinized and high levels of responsibility must be met to avoid the intrusion on the activities of the innocent,’ wrote the judge in that ruling.
‘These strict standards simply weren’t met in this case.’

However, no decision on the believed video of Kraft will likely be made until May 21, when he will appear before a judge for the first time.
Wednesday’s pre-trial unearthed some more unsettling details about the reported on-goings behind the doors of the Asia of Orchids Spa.
It has been said that workers didn’t change the sheets on the massage tables in between clients and a number of accounts of staff walking in on customers being manually stimulated were also shared.
The hearing began on Friday with an explosive revelation from one of the men accused of paying for sex acts at the spa, who told police the establishment offered an ‘early bird special’ for promiscuous clients booking appointments before noon.
Meanwhile, the detective who was behind the operation said that his suspicions that the spa was in fact a ‘house of prostitution’ were confirmed after he witnessed a golf cart with eight pull up outside Orchids of Asia one afternoon in November.
Having been inside for 30 or 40 minutes, one man emerged from the front-door and celebrated the service with a ‘touchdown Jesus’, pointing towards the sky in elation.

The judge will reveal his ruling on May 21 at a court hearing that Robert Kraft has been ordered to attend
During a six hour testimony, Detective Andrew Sharp answered a number a questions regarding his sting operation at the spa – and his encounter with the ‘polite and respectful’ Kraft.
The Patriots owner’s attorneys hope the pre-trial will be enough to convince the judge to toss out the hidden camera footage that was obtained after Detective Sharp and members of the Jupiter Police Department.
If they are successful, it is very likely that all charges against their client will be dropped and the prosecution will not proceed to trial.
Detective Sharp said that during the course of his surveillance it was men he saw going into the spa, and noted that almost every single customer was inside for 30 to 45 minutes.
He also said that a number of online reviews had referred to Orchids of Asia as a ‘rub-and-tug’ service.
