Simon Cowell, 58, laughs when Ellen DeGeneres presents him with a unique gift: a bicycle helmet with grey HAIR on it

After photos surfaced of Simon Cowell biking in Malibu without a helmet, Ellen DeGeneres wanted to make sure he was stylishly safe.

While Cowell was promoting the season finale of America’s Got Talent on The Ellen Show, courtesy of The Ellen Show YouTube, DeGeneres gave him a surprise gift, a bike helmet with a wig attached.

After Cowell joked that he was actually wearing a helmet that looks like his hair, DeGeneres presented him with an actual helmet that actually does look like the AGT judge’s real hair.

Cowell, 58, couldn’t contain his laughter when DeGeneres, 60, gave him the helmet, adding, ‘It’s make myself look stupid time’ before putting on the helmet.

The crowd was whipped into a frenzy when Cowell donned the helmet, surprisingly admitting, ‘Actually, it’s not bad. That’s very cool.’

The X-Factor co-creator added that the helmet wig was, ‘darker than my hair, I like it,’ while admiring his gift from the talk show host.

After plunking down a whopping $25 million for his seven-bedroom Malibu home last November, Cowell and his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, 41, have often been seen riding electric bikes with their four-year-old son Eric.

Ellen showcased two photos on the show, one of which featured Cowell biking on the Pacific Coast Highway (PCH), which Cowell jokingly referred to as ‘Death Race 2000,’ before delivering a message to the Malibu city council.

‘If you’re watching, Malibu council, the cycle lanes and paths are like an inch wide, but I do like to cycle, yeah,’ Cowell said.

The outspoken TV personality also told Ellen that he no longer uses a cell phone, claiming to have gone over a year without one.

‘I’m more present, I’ve got a better memory,’ Cowell said. If people want to get a hold of you, they can get a hold of you. It’s just a distraction.’

DeGeneres bemoaned that she wanted her executive producer Andy Lassner to get rid of his phone, but he just won’t do it.
