Susanna Reid got into the Christmas in front of an utterly bemused Ed Balls on Wednesday’s episode of Good Morning Britain.
The presenter, 52, was clearly very excited for the festive holiday as she couldn’t resist draping herself in tinsel, while the former cabinet minister looked on with a disgusted expression.
The two began a friendly spat about whether it is still too early for festive decorations in mid-November.
A very enthusiastic Susanna exclaimed: ‘I’m all for it! Get the lights up, get the tinsel up.
‘Get the pigs in blankets out – the vegan pigs in blankets! Get the BBC singers underway in full song with Christmas carols!’

A skeptical Ed Balls interrupted her in outrage to protest at her getting ready for Christmas in the middle of November: ‘Let’s start Valentines. Happy Easter! Bikinis on – summer’s here!’
Later on he seemed to warm up to the idea of an early Christmas while speaking to Lorraine, wrapping the tinsel around himself and Susanna.
However, he still insisted Christmas is ‘not happening yet!’ while Susanna continued to say: ‘It is! It is!’ before breaking out into a rendition of It’s Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas while introducing the next segment.
Fans were also divided about the best time to put up the decorations.
A couple were enthusiastic about getting ready as soon as possible with one taking to X, formerly Twitter, to say: ‘Nothing better than trimming up early in these dark cold days.’
Another said: ‘It’s never to early once Halloween is over My decorations go up I think the season goes way to quick so why not.’
However, some were stubborn in arguing that December should be the only Christmassy month.

One social media user firmly asserted: ‘Not. Until. December.’
Another said: ‘I don’t often heartily agree with Ed Balls, but yeah, why not get next year’s pumpkin early whilst they’re still fresh?’
Earlier this month Susanna had hinted she could be joining the line-up of I’m A Celebrity, telling ITV viewers her co-star Ranvir Singh was ‘convinced she is going in.’
But fans were left disappointed when she was not announced in the line-up ahead of the series beginning this Sunday.
