The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley confronts Nick Cummins about his history with Cassandra Wood

The Bachelor’s Brittany Hockley confronted Nick ‘The Honey Badger’ Cummins  about his well-documented history with former flame Cassandra Wood.

The radiographer, 30, told the ex-Wallabies star she felt ’embarrassed’ and ‘stupid’ to learn about his romantic past with the former Home and Away star from a family member during hometown week.

‘I just don’t think you can form any sort of relationship when it’s not based on honesty,’ Brittany explained during the tense scene on Wednesday night’s episode.

The Port Macquarie-based radiographer said it was her sister who dropped the bombshell during hometown visits and it totally ‘took her by surprise.’

‘To be honest to have my family tell me that while we were there…I just felt like I had the wool pulled over my eyes!’ Brittney said.

‘I felt a bit embarrassed…a bit stupid by the whole thing. I didn’t even know you two were together…ever,’ she exclaimed.

Brittany admitted the sportsman’s romantic past with Cassandra had been ‘playing on her mind’ and she needed to find out the ‘truth.’

The brunette delved deeper into what her sister had told her, sharing: ‘She told me some things she read in the media that you and Cass were a thing and you almost are a thing.’

Nick took Brittney’s concerns in his stride and said: ‘I think there’s a bit of exaggeration in the outside there.’

He then proceeded to carefully explain his previous romantic relationship with Cassandra.

‘We met through mutual friends. And we go to the same gym,’ he said.

He continued: ‘And from that we went on a couple of dates. But at that time when we were together (like not together as in dating as in we were catching-up) we didn’t really hit it off.’

‘It just wasn’t the right timing. It never went that way. And seeing her come in was just a huge coincidence.’

‘There’s a brief history with Cass but that’s in the past. She’s not here now, so what we should be focusing on now is Brit and I and how out connection can go further as I do like her,’ he said.
