Michelin star dining might sound like the preserve of the elite, but now the most affordable eateries to receive the prestigious honour have been revealed – and prices start at just £1.70.
Travel website traveloka.com has revealed the 50 cheapest Michelin star restaurants in the world, and two of them are located here in the UK.
It ranked the restaurants in order of the most expensive dish on the most expensive main course for the a la carte menu, or the price of the set lunch menu.
This means, that you could find a cheaper dish on the menu or even splash out on two courses for the price of the most expensive main.

The world’s cheapest Michelin star eatery is the Liao Fan Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice & Noodle, a famed street food stall in Outram, Singapore.
The stall, which became one of two street food vendors with a Michelin star in 2016, serves up no frills dishes such as BBQ pork, chicken and rice and wonton soup, where you’ll spend a maximum of £1.70 for a main dish.
In the UK you can enjoy Michelin star dining at chef Tom Kerridge’s The Coach in Marlow, Buckinghamshire where the most expensive meal is Whole Stuffed Rotisserie Quail with Satay SauceWhole Stuffed Rotisserie Quail with Satay Sauce for £16.50.

London’s The Ninth restaurant also makes the list, thanks to a set lunch menu costing just £21, while theGreenhouse in Dublin also tempts diners with a £31.40 set menu.
The four US establishments on the list include Tail Up Goat in Washington, D.C. where an a la carte main costs $26.
In Europe, the cheapest Michelin star restaurant is L’Antic Moli in El Castell, Spain where the set lunch menu costs just £13.
