When celebrities such as Beyonce, Kendall Jenner and Bella Hadid wear a fashion item you know it’s made it big.

One such item is the Adidas Originals’ Stan Smith, which is the shoe that has hit the peak of fashion.

Australian website, The Iconic, revealed they’ve sold a whopping 45,678 pairs this year.

According to the fashion retailer’s 2017 Year in Fashion data report, the unassuming leather tennis sneaker is an Aussie favourite – shifting an impressive amount units in 2017.

Surprisingly, Stan Smiths weren’t even their top selling shoe, as the unisex favourite Converse remained in the top spot, closely followed by slides, which were one of their most searched for items.

One of the items that the online retailer couldn’t seem to keep on the shelves was the Elizabeth and James sunglasses after Kendall Jenner was seen wearing them.

With Australia’s political climate and the marriage equality plebiscite in the news, another unsurprisingly popular item was the love is love shirt from Atmos&Here.
