So what makes the 20-year-old serum so popular?

According to product description on the website, the ‘much-heralded, best-selling serum is the secret step to getting a smooth, glass skin-level glow’.

‘A proprietary blend of agents works to improve overall texture and tone and boost moisture,’ the website reads.

Your skin will also be more ‘receptive’ to other topical products applied after the serum, and they should absorb into your complexion better for ‘amplified results’.

‘This is the best! It got rid of my redness completely, and also takes care of my acne,’ one reviewer posted.

‘My skin is hydrated evenly (I have combination but more close to dry skin, but if I use heavy rich serum or cream my makeup doesn’t last long).’
