From promoting weight-loss supplements to plastic surgery clinics and even luxury goods, it’s common for stars like Margot Robbie and Kim Kardashian to post ads in exchange for a fee.

However, some d-list reality stars have taken promotion to a whole new level by sharing eyebrow-raising posts including a fake engagement and teasing a pregnancy – all in an effort to make quick cash.

Despite the vague caption ‘oh my God’ implying that Dom had popped the question, The attention-loving couple later clarified to fans that they are not actually getting married and instead simply plugging a local jeweller.

The 39-year-old hashtagged ‘ad’ at the end of a lengthy post about IVF, which is a legal requirement for all brands paying for sponsored social media posts. 

At the time, it was revealed that the single star is not pregnant and simply had her eggs frozen.
