TV host Susan Carland has dished on her sex life with husband Waleed Aly in a revealing interview with Good Weekend magazine.
On Saturday, the presenter of SBS’s Child Genius discussed the racier side of her relationship with the popular Project host.
In an interview with columnist Benjamin Law, the academic showed an open attitude when giving her criteria for good sex.

‘Enthusiasm,’ Susan, 39, begun, with it appearing to be top of the priority list.
She continued: ‘Both people really being into each other. And being unselfish.’
In the wide-ranging chat, Susan also revealed that her first childhood crush was Young Einstein star Yahoo Serious before adding her type is ‘hairy, dishevelled men.’

Susan, who is an outspoken convert to Islam, went on to say bad sex is actually a justification in the religion for a woman to leave her husband.
‘From a purely theological point of view, sex is meant to be seen as something positive – not purely for procreation – and enjoyable.’
Elsewhere, Susan spoke about the importance of being open and candid about sex, adding that’s how her mother was with her.

Earlier this week, Susan revealed to The Daily Telegraph that she initially brutually rejected her husband Waleed, 40, when he asked her for a date at 16.
Susan said she told Channel Ten’s host of The Project in no uncertain terms: ‘I wouldn’t marry you if you were the last person on Earth.’
She admitted it took some time for them to get together.

‘He moved on with his life and I moved on with mine, but I realised, in the back of my mind, I was always comparing other guys to him,’ she told the publication.
‘And I was [like], ‘Why am I doing that? I don’t even like this guy.’ And then I realised, ‘Oh, I really do like him. Oh no, what have I done?”
Susan said she eventually went ‘grovelling back’ to the multi-talented TV host, and he was happy to have her.

The couple have been happily married for 16 years and have two children, daughter Aisha, 15, and son Zayd, 11.
Speaking to TV Week magazine recently, Susan revealed the secret to her successful marriage.
‘I think it’s not just that we love each other, we really like each other,’ she told the publication.
