The Trumps expect 30,000 at Easter Egg Roll

First lady Melania Trump put on her second Easter Egg Roll Monday, after celebrating the holiday with the Trump family in Mar-a-Lago.

This year’s roll brought the introduction of lawn bowling – played with oversized balls and pins – with a number of administration officials expected to bring their kids.

The Trump family was at the White House too.

Overall, approximately 30,000 people are expected to attend.

Donald Trump Jr., who traveled back to Washington last night on board Air Force One, posted an almost-complete family picture to Instagram.

‘Great pic of some of the kids with the Easter Bunny just now at The White House,’ the eldest Trump son wrote.

‘Chloe is missing because she’s apparently petrified of big bunnies and we found her hiding under a table to avoid any possible confrontation see next pic,’ he wrote.

Easter Sunday was also a family affair, with daughter Tiffany Trump accopanying the president and first lady to church.

They attended services at the Bethesda-by-the-Sea Episcopal Church in Palm Beach, Florida.

Later, first lady Melania Trump tweeted the Easter decorations at Mar-a-Lago, which included rows of Easter Egg-shaped balloons.

The president and first lady are slated to appear at the Easter Egg Roll at around 10:30 am. today, where they’ll speak to the crowd from the Truman Balcony.

If they stick with tradition they’ll be appearing with the Easter Bunny.

In the past, former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer has played that role, back when he was an aide for the President George W. Bush administration.

This year, White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders – who was spotted at the Roll wearing Easter-appropriate bright blue heels – invited reporters’ kids to participate in the roll.

The first lady’s spokeswoman Stephanie Grisham tweeted that her staff – ‘& MANY volunteers’ – had been working on the South Lawn since 3:30 a.m.

The early hours of the Roll were cold and misty, though the sun sneaked out of the clouds around 10 a.m., shortly before the Trumps’ appearance.

Shortly before the president’s appearance, Dr. Ronny Jackson, the president’s choice to replace David Shulkin to head Veterans Affairs, was seen walking around the lawn, along with Energy Secretary Rick Perry.
