Tiahleigh Palmer’s foster father Rick Thorburn has pleaded guilty to the schoolgirl’s murder.
The 58-year-old admitted to murdering the 12-year-old from Logan, Queensland, in October 2015.
He killed his foster daughter just hours after his son Trent confessed to having sex with her and being worried she was pregnant.
Thorburn, who shed tears in the dock, is being sentenced in the Brisbane Supreme Court.
He faces life in jail for the murder of Tiahleigh, which was covered up by the Thorburn family until their conspiracy came undone in April 2016.
Thorburn’s sons Trent and Josh and his wife Jolene have already been sentenced for their roles in the cover-up.
