Top Gun: Maverick star Jay Ellis marries fiancée Nina Senicar at an outdoor ceremony in Tuscany

Actor Jay Ellis is officially off the market, as he tied the knot with Nina Senicar in an Italian wedding.

The Top Gun: Maverick star, 40, shared the news on Instagram Monday, writing: ‘July 9th, 2022… Per sempre.’

He uploaded a photo from their special day that showed him in a cranberry-colored suit and his wife in a strapless gown. 

Nina looked stunning in a white Dolce and Gabbana dress with a thigh-high slit that showed off her leg and strappy white heels.

She pulled her dark hair back and skipped a necklace, nailing a look of understated elegance. 

The snapshot showed the twosome walking hand-in-hand down a tree-lined, unpaved road.

They looked lovingly into each other’s eyes while showing off their stellar couples’ style.

Nina, a Serbian-born model, wore a pair of diamond stud earrings for the special day, which came two years later than originally planned.

Speaking to Vogue, the beauty said, ‘Like everyone else in the world, we weren’t sure how widespread it would be or how long any of it would last, so we had to cancel everything.’

Their big day then got pushed back a second time after they endured a family loss. 

But she says the location was never in question: ‘We always knew we wanted to get married in Italy because going there was the first trip we ever took together.’

After thoroughly scouting locations, they chose Villa Mangiacane in Tuscany’s San Casciano.

For Jay’s look, he also turned to the iconic fashion house. ‘Dolce sent over three sketches, and I immediately gravitated to the third one,’ he told the magazine.

And the Insecure star said he ‘always knew I wanted to wear something in the bordeaux family.’

Adding to the ensemble he wore a bowtie and textured burgundy loafers that matched his designer threads perfectly.

The wedding comes several years after the two were introduced by a mutual friend at a bar in Los Angeles.

Following a courtship that started in 2015, Ellis proposed in 2019 during a trip to Bali.

Their two-year-old daughter, Nora, was incorporated into the ceremony as she fulfilled the role of flower girl.

When the third and final wedding date rolled along, the day went off without a hitch. ‘It was amazing,’ Jay recalled.

‘After everything that everyone has been through over the last few years to bring over 190 people together for three days in Tuscany and celebrate was surreal.’
