  • Nigel Johnson, 30, and Jarvis Beck, 31, were arrested in July on charges of statutory rape by a person in a position of authority
  • Both men had worked at attendants at the psychiatric ward at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis
  • They are accused of repeatedly having sex with a 15-year-old patient who came to the hospital seeking help for suicidal thoughts

Two male employees at Saint Francis Hospital in Memphis have been arrested for allegedly raping a suicidal 15-year-old patient multiple times during her stay at the psychiatric ward.

The suspects, Nigel Johnson, 30, and Jarvis Beck, 31, were taken into custody back in July and were each charged with statutory rape by a person in a position of authority.

According to attorney Parke Morris, who has been retained by the alleged victim’s family, Johnson and Beck took turns having sex with the vulnerable teenager during several encounters, as the station WREG first reported.

Police arrested Johnson on July 17 and Beck on July 29.

According to Morris, a former hospital worker said she had witnessed inappropriate interactions between staffers and patients and that management had been warned about it.

She also was said to have claimed that male stuffers would often violate hospital policy by being alone in the room with female patients.

DailyMail.com on Wednesday reached out to the hospital for a comment and was awaiting a response.

The lawyer representing the patient’s family said when the girl’s mother contacted hospital officials seeking answers, she got ‘stonewalled.’

Morris said he has reason to believe there may be others victims out there.

Records show that Jarvis Beck’s only other arrest took place in 2012 and involved minor traffic violations.
