Waterloo Road’s Tommy Knight looks unrecognisable as he poses at Comic Con

‘He’s managed to get so much hotter!’ Waterloo Road star Tommy Knight is a far cry from boyish Kevin Skelton as he stuns fans with a hipster beard and beanie at Comic Con

One could be forgiven for not recognising Waterloo Road star Tommy Knight as he posed with a fan at Comic Con last week, but those who did wasted no time in showing their appreciation.

The actor, 28, was a far cry from Kevin Skelton, his teenage character in the Rochdale based BBC drama, while showing off a neatly manicured beard better suited to London’s trendy hipster capital, Shoreditch.

Tommy, who also starred in Doctor Who spin off show Sarah Jane Adventures, rounded off the off-beat look with a knitted yellow watch cap and floral patterned shirt.

While others commented on his personality: ‘I also met tommy knight and he was also really lovely.’

Others couldn’t believe it was him: ‘You can’t be trying to tell me that’s Tommy Knight in the yellow beanie surely.’

Tommy played the character of Kevin Skelton whose storylines consisted of being adopted by his teacher Daniel Chalk, his relationship with Dynasty Barry, and then having an affair with a teaching assistant.

He also suffered a stroke before a university interview.
