‘When I told my husband, I almost gave him a heart attack. I was calling him from the other room.
‘I ran up to him and said “I think I’ve just won Powerball — it says it here”,’ she said, according to The Daily Telegraph.
The woman said it had been ‘struggle after struggled’ for their family recently, and her husband had to scrounge around in his car just to buy her a coffee.
‘I couldn’t afford a daily coffee then, but I might go buy a cafe now,’ she said.
She now hopes her family can afford to buy a home rather than renting.
