Australian airport worker snapped inside plane turbine

An airport worker has been photographed posing for a photo while lying inside a plane’s turbine.

The image was shared to social media on Saturday, showing the man performing the stunt at what appears to be an Australian airport. 

He can be seen in the photo taking a casual pose, lying on his back inside the Rolls-Royce turbine of what’s believed to be a Boeing 777.

The photo also shows his co-worker standing on top of one of the airport’s ground support vehicles as he tries to perfectly capture the moment.

Meanwhile, another co-worker stands cross-armed while appearing to keep a look out for anyone who threatens to spoil the antics.

The photo caused a stir on social media after it was posted by Sydney-based blog Brown Cardigan with the caption: ‘It might be his only chance to die inside a Rolls Royce.’

‘Wonder if this was why our flight was delayed this morning?’ one person wrote.

Another wrote: ‘Sure his a** is fired after this!’ 

Former airport workers also commented on the photo, claiming the man’s pose is a rite of passage in the aviation industry.  

Sydney Airport could not confirm on Sunday where the photo was taken but said they are investigating.
