A gunman shot and killed two people at a retirement community in Pennsylvania on Wednesday.
Authorities are searching for the gunman after the shooting at Bellingham Retirement Community in West Chester, which is 35 miles west of Philadelphia.
Roads up to a mile away from the crime scene have been cordoned off while a perimeter has been set up around the facility, WCAU-TV is reporting.
Officials said police received a report of a shooting at around 6:30pm on Wednesday, according to WPVI-TV.
Swarms of police vehicles and ambulances descended on the scene.
They are being assisted by federal agents from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives.

When police arrived, they were told that the gunman fled, possibly in a white van.
Authorities say that the shooter may have also been involved in another shooting nearby in the Downington area.
Police have set up a staging area at East Goshen Elementary School.
West Chester made headlines last November when a local nursing home, Barclay Friends, was destroyed by a massive fire.
Four people died of smoke inhalation and more than two dozen others were injured in the blaze.
