American mom living in Paris reveals the ‘completely different way’ French women change their babies’ DIAPERS – including the ‘all-natural’ product they use to completely eliminate rashes

An American mom living in Paris has offered up a fascinating glimpse at how French parents change diapers in the city of love – revealing the genius trick she’s learned from locals that will ensure your kid never has a diaper rash.

Isabelle Bertolami relocated from the US to Paris and has been sharing the stark differences between the two places on her TikTok account, where she boasts over 156,000 followers.

The New York native, who is also the co-founder of skincare company Propre Baby, most recently took to the video-sharing platform to detail the one item Parisians use when cleaning their baby’s tush to avoid diaper rashes.

In a viral video, which has so far amassed over 706,000 views, she revealed that when changing diapers in France, parents reach for something known as Liniment, which is an all-natural formula made with olive oil and limestone water that replaces baby wipes.

‘How French parents avoid diaper rash,’ she captioned the clip.

At the beginning of the video, she added: ‘Did you know that French parents change their baby’s diaper completely different than what we do in the US?’

She explained that Parisians use a product called Liniment, which is an ‘all-natural formula.’

‘It’s made with olive oil and limestone water, the recipe changes slightly, and you can even make it at home,’  she said.

Isabelle explained that parents will place some Liniment on a cotton pad and use it in place of a baby wipe.

‘I became obsessed with because my daughter literally never had a diaper rash,’ she said before noting that her skincare brand even sells the product.

She then shared how you use the product and used a stuffed animal for her demonstration.

‘You take one to two pumps of your formula and wipe the baby’s bottom, and then you can fold [your cotton pad] and repeat as necessary.

‘When you clean the baby’s bottom with this, you will see that there’s this sheen that’s left over on the skin and this going to be your built in diaper cream.

‘So this is what really prevents the baby from getting diaper rash. That and the fact that there’s no harsh chemicals in these products,’ she explained.

People flooded the comments section and praised her for her tip.

One person said: ‘French here. Never used anything else but Liniment. So easy to clean up the “mess”. I use it after waxing too to remove the remaining wax.’

Another user added: ‘liniment is so good!’

‘We use Liniment. I send a bottle to every new parent I know,’ one user added.

Someone else commented: ‘What. This is a great idea.’

In the past, Isabelle has opened up about how you can take your makeup off just like a ‘French mom’.

‘You need the Bioderma Micellar Water, and you need extra large cotton pads,’ she said.

Bioderma is a French company, but has made its way over to the United States in recent years.

Its Micellar Water typically retails for around $18.99, and can be found at many drugstores, like CVS.

The cotton pads that she used in the video were from her own brand, Propre Baby, but it looks like any will do the trick.

She also shared that she was left horrified by the ‘broken US food system’ during a visit back home.

The New York native laid bare her biggest issues and insisted that supplies ‘feel so far from real food here.’
