Elon Musk goes on Berlin nightclub crawl to celebrate new German Tesla gigafactory but denied entry

Elon Musk tried to get into a German nightclub wearing a Mask of Zorro disguise while in Berlin to open Tesla’s new gigafactory over the weekend.

The factory, built on the outskirts of the German capital, aims to produce 500,000 cars a year when fully operational.

But after the work, came play with the billionaire seen bouncing around Berlin sampling some of the city’s nightlife, including a fetish club.

During his club crawl, Musk also tweeted that he did not manage to make it inside one of Germany’s most exclusive nightclubs.

The club in question, Berghain, known for its techno music and high-end clubbing clientele has a strict door policy to which it appears the billionaire may not have met.

Photography is banned inside the club with those allowed inside forced to cover up their cellphone’s cameras with stickers.

Musk on Monday disclosed a 9.2% stake in Twitter Inc, worth nearly $3 billion, making him the micro-blogging site’s largest shareholder and triggering a rise of more than 27% in the company’s shares.

Musk’s move, revealed in a regulatory filing, comes on the heels of his tweet that he was giving ‘serious thought’ to building a new social media platform, while questioning Twitter’s commitment to free speech.

He also started a poll tweet asking Twitter users if they want an edit button, a long-awaited feature on which the social media platform has been working.

In less than three hours of starting the poll, more than 1.2 million users voted, with over 75% of them backing an edit option.
