Sabrina Elba was every bit the doting wife on Sunday as she shared a photo of her husband Idris, who was dressed head-to-toe in traditional African clothing.
The actor, 50, looked in good spirits as he sported the colourful ensemble and chatted to locals.
Posting the photo of her husband to her Instagram, Sabrina wrote: ‘My African King’.
Idris has spent the past few days travelling around Ghana, and even met with the president Nana Akufo-Addo.
The Luther star was determined to get involved on his visit, as he attended the Manhyia Palace to celebrate the first Akwasidae of the year, a 40 day traditional occasion observed every six weeks in Asanteman.

The festival is celebrated on a Sunday, once every six weeks – but this being the first of 2023, marked a big ocassion.
The traditional occasion glorifies the milestones in the history of the Ashanti Kingdom and pays homage to the Ashanti King, Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II and Queen mother Asantehemaa Nana Konadu Yiadom III.
Idris could be seen embracing the practice, as he dressed in a Ghanian kente – a ceremonial hand-woven cloth.
Idris was reportedly followed by a camera crew for an upcoming film he is making to highlight the need for building film studios in the country and attract filmmakers to West Africa.
The blockbuster actor revealed that pre-production is set for August, and principal photography would begin in December.
Sharing a video of his meeting with the Ghanian president to his Instagram, Idris said: ‘We’ve studied the models of obviously South Africa’s incredible incentive package, and around Europe, obviously, Greece, Morocco, these are all places where they realize the value of the filmmaking dollar and have brought that policy into play.’

He also told the Ghanaian president that he intends for his current film to be a proof of concept.
He said: ‘It would be very beneficial for us to show and to make an announcement to the world that Ghana is open for business, here are the steps, the policies are in place and we have actually, bringing a film to our country, and we are going to put our money where our mouth is.’
Idris, who has both a Ghanaian and Sierre Leonean lineage, has previously starred in movies that directly tell of some of Africa’s struggles including, Beast of no Nation and Mandela: Long Walk to Freedom.
Also, Universal Pictures filmed the entirety of the movie Beast in South Africa in 2021, with Idris as the lead actor.
Idris has previously illustrated his passion for helping the world’s poorer countries through investment.
Only a few weeks ago, Idris called for investment to help the world’s poor at the opening ceremony at the World Economic Forum (WEF) annual meeting in Davos, on Monday.
The actor, 50, cut a dapper figure in a unique grey jacket and a white shirt with a black tie.
He was accompanied by his wife Sabrina, 32, who looked the picture of elegance in a grey fitted dress.

The Elbas were both honoured for their work on environmental conservation, food security and climate change.
Idris appealed to participants at the summit for financial support for people hit by food scarcity and climate change.
He said: ‘The poor of this world are not just looking for aid and handouts, they’re looking for investment.
‘With greater access to finance, markets, resources, technology and knowledge, we can unlock a different future.
‘Failure to invest massively will lead to increased hunger and poverty, which in turn could fuel social unrest, conflict and migration.’
He added: ‘We understand the power and change that can come from this room … We can move with agility and speed and your speed is needed now.’

While Sabrina said: ‘Rural communities are filled with talented, youthful populations and enormous potential for new and vibrant markets.
‘The private sector can play a massive role in supporting and sourcing from small farmers and in ensuring world leaders continue to invest in holistic ways to combat environmental degradation and rising hunger.
The UN Goodwill Ambassadors received the Crystal Award in front of global leaders in government and industry.
Idris’ appearance comes after he shared the official release date for his latest film Luther: The Fallen Sun.
The actor, who is set to play the lead role, can be seen appearing from a dark shadow in the first dramatic trailer for the film.
One ominous voice is then heard saying: ‘Something’s coming. You see me now?’
It will arrive in select cinemas on 24 February, followed by a Netflix release on 10 March.
