Fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier reveals he was so ‘in love’ with Madonna that he asked her to marry him THREE times – and originally made her famous cone bra for his teddy!

Iconic fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier has admitted that he loved Madonna so much that he proposed to her.
Jean Paul Gaultier, 67, appeared on the This Morning today celebrating 50 years in fashion and talking about his new cabaret show in London.
However, when Ruth asked him about his icons, he said he loved working with Madonna and joked that he even asked her to marry him – three times.
He also admitted that he originally made the famous cone bra that she wore for someone else – his teddy bear.
Fans of the show were also impressed with how great he looked for his age, saying ‘he looks well for 67.’

When presenter Ruth asked him about his icons, he said he loved working with madonna and even asked her to marry him – three times
When Ruth asked him if he was in love with Madonna he said: ‘Yes a little bit, I asked her to marry me three times – and she said no’.
Presenters Ruth and Eamonn laughed at his revelation, but he also went on to admit that the iconic pointed bra that he made for her, was actually made for someone else: ‘I actually didn’t create the bra initially for her, I have a teddy bear called nanna and created it for her.’
Going on to talk about his inspirations he said: ‘I’m more inspired by London – Paris is snobbish and bijoux, London is very eccentric and everything is very real.
Bringing up his age, 67, Eamonn said: ‘Can you believe it, its been 50 years’. Joking he said: ‘Can you imagine – but still so young at the heart.’

Fans of the show was also impressed with how great he looked for his age, saying he looks well for 67.
While viewers were surprised too, with many saying he looked great for his age.
One said: ‘he’s looking well for 67,’ and another said,’ No way. he looks amazing #thosegenesthough’.
While others just talked about how much of an iconic he was, with one saying:’Love him, he’s a legend.’
He was on the show to talk about his Cabaret show, Fashion freak, which is on at the South bank this summer.

Talking about fashion Jean Paul said it reflects the times – and people express themselves through clothes
‘Its been my dream to do this – when I was nine years old I saw it on TV – I thought one day I want to do that – and now the show has my story,’ he said.
Talking about fashion he revealed: ‘I think it reflects the times – and people express themselves through clothes.’
However, he said he would love to dress one famous person: ‘Queen Elizabeth – I would love to dress – she really speaks though her clothes and jewelry’.
