‘This happened while on Storrow Drive, while the vehicle was in motion,’ the prosecutor AlexaRae Wright, setting the crime in Boston’s Back Bay neighborhood.

He then pulled over near the Hatch Memorial Shell, the renowned outdoor concert venue in Boston and allegedly raped her again. The prosecution said that the woman’s phone rang giving her an opportunity to escape.

‘She ran from the vehicle. She was observed running by a bystander,’ said Wright. ‘She was seen hysterically crying with her pants unbuttoned.

According to the accused driver’s attorney, the passenger he picked up was the one behaving strangely upon their meeting.

‘She insisted on climbing in the front,’ according to defense attorney Kim Giampietro who alleges the passenger was also seeking to smoke pot, but that Daudah then kicked her out of the vehicle, according to WHDH.

The judge also ordered Daudah, a Ugandan citizen, to surrender his passport.

Daudah will also be required to wear a GPS monitor if he makes bail and makes his next court appearance in May.

‘What’s been reported is horrible and something no one should ever go through,’ Uber said in a statement. ‘We stand ready to support law enforcement with their investigation.’
