She’s in DC in support of personal care products legislation, the Personal Care Products Safety Act, introduced a year ago, on Capitol Hill in Washington which seeks to amend the Federal Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act and provide enhanced oversight on cosmetics and personal care products.

On Monday she filmed herself touching down in the nation’s capital.

Making no secret of her love of all things natural, it is little surprise that Kourtney, who has just launched a cosmetics collaboration with half-sister Kylie, holds the cause close to her heart.

Insiders claim Kourtney is being followed by KUWTK cameras and producers, who have booked blocks of hotel rooms for the trip, as she prepares for the meeting to attempt to see a rise in environmentally friendly produce.

Kourtney previously discussed the impressive list of banned products in the Kardashian beauty range. Speaking to Cricket’s Circle, she previously said: ‘I am slowly changing my beauty products over to safer choices.

‘I make sure that our products for Kardashian Beauty are made of non-toxic ingredients — our list of banned substances is longer than the list at Whole Foods, which makes me feel really proud.’

Her number one cosmetic is Manuka Doctor honey, which she has promoted to the extent of gaining the title of brand ambassador.

In a 2013 episode of KUWTK, she shocked her then-partner Scott Disick when she chose to stop wearing deodrant.

He said:  ‘She reeks. Only because she doesn’t believe in wearing deodorant because she thinks it’s bad for her breastfeeding’, shortly before he revealed she was attempting to make her own deodorant by using baking soda and cornstarch.

Having no parabens or sulphates is also important to the star, as she explained to In The Gloss: ‘Being a mom, I have become really invested in that — I just feel like once I know something, I can’t go backwards and pretend like I don’t know it…

‘My friend Sarah sends me lists sometimes, she just sent me one recently with 15 dangerous ingredients, which I forwarded to everyone involved in Kardashian Beauty to make sure that none of the ingredients were in our products.

‘It’s hard to do at a mass level, selling with CVS, Ulta, and other stores, but for me, that’s the most important thing.’

MailOnline has contacted representatives for Kourtney and Environmental Working Group for comment.
