Lucy Hale cuts a casual figure while enjoying an afternoon of shopping in the California sun

Lucy Hale cut a casual figure while enjoying a day of shopping with a friend in Studio City on Saturday.

The Pretty Little Liars alum, 33, looked cool in a black graphic t-shirt paired with black jeans as she spent some time soaking in the California sun.

The beauty – who revealed she had been sober for one year back in February – styled up her look with a pair of black heeled boots.

She kept the bright sun out of her eyes with a pair of circular sunglasses on her makeup-free visage.

Lucy wore her brunette tresses pulled back in a low ponytail with two large pieces left out in the front to frame her flawless face.

The Hating Game star accessorized with an old-fashioned silver watch on her wrist, several rings, and multiple necklaces.

She also had a Louis Vuitton brown crossbody bag slung over her shoulders as she made her way around town.

At one point, the singer could be seen carrying a large potted plant in her arms as her friend carried a smaller one.

The pair strutted the streets and chatted, looking happy on their day off.

Earlier this week, the Hale looked perfect in purple as she attended the Fashion Trust U.S. Awards in Los Angeles on Wednesday.

The TV Star wore a long purple and pink gown with a floral pattern that featured a scoop neck and thin straps over her shoulders.

The beauty showed off her toned leg via a high slit in the floor-length dress.

At the event, she posed for a snap alongside friends Kathryn Newton (Big Little Lies), Jenna Dewan (Step Up), and Zoey Deutch (Not Okay).

Lucy has been keeping busy lately after having three projects released in 2022 and has two more coming soon.

The brunette beauty is starring in Mort in Sherman Oaks, an off-beat romance about a terminally ill man, played by Kier Gilchrist, who joins a dating service that matches potential partners based on their projected death dates.

Through the dating service, he meets Lucy’s Kate, and the two strike up an unlikely friendship.

The Memphis native is also starring in Which Brings Me To You, where she plays a freelance journalist who almost hooks up with a photographer in a coat room but decides against a meaningless one-night stand.

Instead, the duo spends the next 24 hours talking and telling each other stories about themselves, including their most embarrassing sexual encounters, first loves, heartbreak, and whirlwind romances.

The rom-com is based on the Steve Almond novel by the same name. The film completed production in October and co-stars Nat Wolff, 28.

Lucy celebrated one year of sobriety in January and marked the occasion with a heartfelt post on Valentine’s Day. ‘On January 2, 2023, I celebrated one year of sobriety.’

She explained: ‘Bear with me, this is an alternative Valentine’s Day post,’ the actress wrote, alongside the photo of a cake with the words 1 Year! written in icing. ‘This is a post about self-love and about the greatest thing I’ve ever done.’

Hale also spoke about her journey to sobriety on Steven Bartlett’s Diary of a CEO podcast, saying, ‘I have never talked publicly about being sober — I have a little over a year sobriety. I have been working on getting sober since I was 20; I’m 33. It took time. It took patience with myself.

‘I just held on to that belief that real Lucy came out when she was drinking. It also quieted my mind… my mind just doesn’t shut off and it’s exhausting. I was a textbook binge drinker, blackout, wouldn’t remember what I did or what I said, which is scary.

‘From my very first experience drinking at age 14 up until a year ago, I’ve had a problem. I’ve never had a period of my life where I was a normal moderate drinker. It was always, “Let’s go,”‘ she said.

‘I was willing to go to this crazy dark place every time. Of course, I tried to be a moderate drinker, just having two. I have an allergy to alcohol. I cannot drink. I view it as an allergy; my brain doesn’t work the same way as someone who can just have a glass of wine. It always wants more. It’s craving that feeling.’
