The Queen of Netherlands has long mastered the art of turning heads in colourful outfits, and today was no exception. 

Heading to the launch of the Borski fund in Amsterdam, Maxima, 48, looked a treat in a purple suit.  

The royal toured the premises of the fund, which will sponsor female entrepreneurs by investing in their companies.

Her stylish top was cut with tailored sleeves and adorned with a low-waist buckle belt. 

The trousers, of the exact same colour, fell on a shining pair of high heels, also in purple.

She covered up from the chilly Halloween breeze with a fitted mid-season coat, also in the same shade.  

Maxima went all out with the purple, down to her perfectly manicured nails and velvet clutch bag. 

She beamed in the modern get up, and made her ash blond bob pop with just a dash of purple lipstick. 

The rest of her makeup added just the right touch of sophistication, with a smokey eye and glowing, sun-kissed skin.

She mixed things up with wooden statement earrings and a royal blue watch.  

The fund, which was launched today, aims to invest in companies that reduce the gender gap present in business. 

‘We believe in diversity, gender equality and fair chances,’ their website reads. 

The fund aims to help female entrepreneurs reach their full potential by investing in their projects. 

The fund explains that a staggering majority of investments usually go to male-led enterprises, and aims to shift the tide.  

It is named after Johanna Borski. Johanna Borski, a Dutch female investor from the 19th century who made her fortune by  by investing early on in buying almost half the shares issued in The Bank of Netherlands – De Nederlandsche Bank.

The fund also vows to not only provide monetary help to the companies, but also to expand their network, and swear to remain actively involved in the businesses they invest in. 

Yesterday, Maxima attended the launch of a public-private business scheme aiming to help the nation’s 1.4million households with high-risk or problematic debts.

She cut an elegant figure in another monochrome outfit, with a high-neck sweater in royal blue with trousers and heels of the same colour. 

The fund aims to prevent households falling into debt by getting the government, businesses and debt relief organisations working together to help people get a grip on their financial situations.
