Two teenagers were stabbed in west London this afternoon and police officers are investigating whether the incidents are related.

One victim was found with stab injuries in the Harlington Road East area of Feltham at 2.27pm shortly before another teenager ‘suffering from slash wounds’ was found outside shops in Hounslow Road.

A Met Police spokesman told MailOnline the victims ‘may have been attacked in Feltham Park and enquiries continue to establish whether the assaults are linked’.

Hussun Youseff, manager of Lahori restaurant on Hounslow Road, told My London he saw one of the victims and rushed to apply pressure to the ’15- or 16-year-old’ boy’s wounds.

‘I didn’t look to see how bad it was, I just wanted to stop him bleeding,’ Mr Yousseff said, adding that he was the one who called the police.

Officers say both the first victim, thought to be in his late teens, and the second victim, said to be in his mid-teens, were taken to hospital and are not suffering life-threatening injuries.

No arrests have yet been made.

Police attended the first incident along with an air ambulance – which was said to have landed in Feltham Park – before cordoning off Hounslow Road with other emergency services.

Mr Youseff added: ‘I heard something another boy being stabbed in the park nearby, but I didn’t see anything.’

The attack is the latest in the capital's wave of violent crime over the last 12 months, which saw 134 people murdered in London last year (pictured: Aerial view of Feltham, west London)

Another witness, Vitor Pravato, said he saw two males on the floor and a police officer was performing CPR on one of them, the Mirror reported.

The Metropolitan Police tweeted about the ongoing incident saying: ‘We are at the scene of two assaults in the Hounslow Road area of Feltham.

‘Enquiries continue to confirm whether they are linked. The teenage victims have been taken to hospital; we await an update on their injuries.’

They later tweeted: ‘The victims in the Feltham assaults had sustained knife injuries; neither of the teenagers is believed to have life-threatening injuries.

‘Officers remain in the area. Anyone with info is asked to call 101 ref: 4160/3Feb.’

TfL Traffic News tweeted: ‘A244 Hounslow Road (TW14) (Both Directions) between Hanworth Road and Harlington Road East is closed due to a Police incident. Please use alternative route.’

The attack is the latest in the capital’s wave of violent crime over the last 12 months, which saw 134 people murdered in London last year.

Last Thursday a 16-year-old boy was stabbed near an Aldi supermarket in Brent, north-west London.

Earlier that week Nedim Bilgin, 17, died in Caledonian Road, north London, after he was attacked with a knife.

He was the eighth person to die as a result of violence in the capital so far this year and three teenagers aged 16, 17 and 18 have been arrested on suspicion of murder.

Figures released in January showed police-recorded violent crime had risen by nearly a fifth in England and Wales.

Forces also registered an eight per cent increase in offences involving a knife or sharp instrument.
