Brendan Jones has blasted ‘Sydney drivers’ amid confusion over the Rozelle Interchange this week, even after he ‘got lost’ using the newly-opened roadways.
The WSFM star, 55, tested out the motorway during his Jonesy and Amanda radio show on Wednesday, suffering a similar fate to other road users.
‘You seemed to not have as much sympathy as I thought was appropriate for people stuck around the Rozelle interchange,’ Amanda said, reacting to him blaming ‘Sydney drivers’ for the traffic issues.
Cutting to Jonesy driving in the car, he said: ‘I think we’re going the wrong way. You didn’t give me directions.’
Amanda mocked her co-star, calling out his overconfidence prior to getting behind the wheel.
‘Brendan, you’ve boasted that you know every road before you left. I told you which way to go. You boasted that you know Sydney like the back of your hand,’ she said.
‘You didn’t say where I was supposed to go,’ he replied, appearing somewhat stressed.
After a couple of minutes on the road, Brendan called the interchange a ‘great system’ and complimented the tunnel decor.

‘What a great system. It’s fantastic. I like the inside of the tunnel. I really feel the decor is very suitable and it looks good,’ he said.
The studio later confirmed confident Jonesy got lost taking a ‘wrong turn’ to Mosman while navigating to Lane Cove.
He also ‘missed the tunnel entrance on the way back’, according to an ARN spokesperson.

Traffic was described as ‘chaos’ on Tuesday after the brand new interchange was opened on Sunday, with choke points on the roads becoming obvious.
A number of drivers reported traffic time of 40 minutes to go from Rozelle to the start of the Anzac Bridge, usually just a simple five minute drive.
After the Sunday launch of the $4 billion project, it was confirmed signage at the interchange would be improved because it is ‘confusing’ to motorists.

The sign near the Iron Cove Bridge that reads ‘Tunnel City to M8 toll Port Botany’ did not make it clear to drivers going into the city the lanes were toll free.
Premier Chris Minns warned drivers it will take some time to get used to the new layout.
Despite the complaints, Transport for NSW co-ordinator general, Howard Collins, said the interchange is user friendly.
‘Whilst it looks like a bowl of spaghetti from above, the Rozelle interchange is actually quite a simple decision-making process,’ Transport for NSW executive, Howard Collins, said
