Sam Asghari smiles as he says Britney Spears is ‘happy’ after being granted right to hire own lawyer

Britney Spears’ supportive boyfriend Sam Asghari had a smile plastered on his face while running errands in the Westlake area of Los Angeles this week.

The 27-year-old personal trainer spoke to the 39-year-old pop star’s current state after she was granted the right to hire her own lawyer on Wednesday July 14.

When asked about the Britney’s latest win amid her ongoing conservatorship battle, Asghari confessed ‘she’s happy,’ before he implored: ‘Free Britney.’

Happiness: Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari is caught with a smile plastered on his face while running errands in LA as he says singer is ‘happy’ after being granted right to hire her own lawyer

Her beau of six years was seen showing off his gym-honed figure in a white and navy tank top and a pair of camo shorts with white and grey sneakers.

But his smile shone brighter than his muscular physique after he was asked to speak to the Lucky singer’s state after a Wednesday hearing at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse.

When asked if she was ‘happy with the court results,’ Sam said: ‘She’s happy,’ before he continued to dish on ‘next steps.’

‘I’m always gonna support her at whatever she wants — and I’ve always been supportive so I’m happy for her, and free Britney!,’ he said.

Asghari’s statements come just days after Spears’ petition to have longtime lawyer Samuel Ingham replaced by her hand selected attorney, Mathew Rosengart, was granted.

Rosengart addressed the court and said ‘I’m not representing her alone,’ adding that he’ll be assisted by ‘a team of attorneys at my firm’ who ‘all have substantial probate experience.’

And after Britney’s cries to have father Jamie Spears removed as conservator were stated once again she continued to say she wanted to ‘press charges.’

‘I’m here to get rid of my dad and charge him with conservatorship abuse,’ she maintained, which Rosengart later echoed to Judge Brenda Penny.

‘He purports to love his daughter, and his daughter has repeatedly asked him to step down. So I’m going to give him the opportunity right now to voluntarily resign,’ Rosengart said.

And outside of the courthouse he addressed reporters. ‘One thing that everybody has lost sight of in all the controversy and all the litigation and all of the drama is what is in the best interest of Britney Spears.’

‘Can anyone disagree that it is not in the best interest for James Spears to be a co-conservator? The question remains why is he involved,’ Rosengart added.

And after the victory the Toxic singer took to Instagram to address the situation as she shared a video doing cartwheels and horseback riding.

‘Coming along, folks … coming along !!!!! New with real representation today … I feel GRATITUDE and BLESSED !!!! Thank you to my fans who are supporting me … You have no idea what it means to me be supported by such awesome fans !!!! God bless you all !!!!!’

Asghari commented back: ‘Internet is about to explode #freeBritney.’

Prior to signing on as Britney’s counsel, the two had had ‘multiple conversations’ per Page Six.

‘Britney has had multiple conversations with Mathew in recent days. He has been keeping close tabs on her case for a while now and felt that her testimony last month was very compelling,’ an insider said.

At her June 23 hearing she spoke about her dad’s ongoing control over the past 13 years and said that she wanted the ‘opportunity by my own self to actually handpick my own lawyer.’

‘…I haven’t really had the opportunity by my own self to actually handpick my own lawyer by myself,’ she said in excerpt, adding:  ‘And I would like to be able to do that.’

She had also asked for basic freedom which included quality time with her two kids and a future with Asghari.

Shots fired: On July 16 she continued to speak out on Instagram as she took fire at the people 'closest' to her who 'never showed up' — which many took as digs at her mother Lynne, sister Jamie Lynn, and brother Bryan — as she said they 'did nothing' to help her situation

‘All I want is to own my money for this and my boyfriend to drive me in his f***ing car,’ she said before adding: ‘I want to be able to get married and have a baby.’

And on Friday she continued to speak out on Instagram as she took fire at the people ‘closest’ to her who ‘never showed up’  — which many took as digs at her mother Lynne, sister Jamie Lynn, and brother Bryan — as she said they ‘did nothing’ to help her situation.

‘There’s nothing worse than when the people closest to you who never showed up for you post things in regard to your situation whatever it may be and speak righteously for support … there’s nothing worse than that !!!! How dare the people you love the most say anything at all … did they even put a hand out to even lift me up at the TIME !!!???

‘How dare you make it public that NOW you CARE … did you put your hand out when I was drowning ???? Again … NO … so if you’re reading this and you know who you are … and you actually have the nerve to say anything about my situation just to save face for yourself publicly !!!’

Jamie Lynn has turned off all comments on her Instagram, though it had previously been revealed that she was the only family member not on Britney’s payroll.
