Shipping container accident at Glenwood in Sydney leaves man dead

Worker found dead inside a shipping container after sustaining ‘extensive injuries’ in horror workplace incident

A man has died after what is believed to be a workplace accident inside a shipping container in Sydney’s northwest.

Paramedics were called to a carpark at Old Windsor Rd in Glenwood, near to an Outback Steakhouse restaurant, on Tuesday afternoon.

They found the man with significant injuries inside a shipping container placed in the carpark which contained construction materials and were unable to save him.

The identity of the man or the specifics as to how he was injured have not yet been revealed. 

Detectives cordoned off the area on Tuesday afternoon as they conducted an investigation, reports The Hills Shire Times.

SafeWork NSW has also been notified and is conducting its own investigation.

A report will be prepared for the Coroner.
