West Coast Eagles players seen cleaning up the dressing room following Grand Final win

AFL premiership winners the West Coast Eagles showed their class on Saturday by cleaning their own dressing room following their Grand Final win and celebrations.

Luke Shuey, winner of the Norm Smith medal, was filmed holding an Esky for other players including Chris Masten, Thomas Cole, Mark LeCras, and William Rioli, as they did a sweep of the dressing room collecting bottles.

At a time when players may well be forgiven for being caught up in post-match celebrations, the clip, posted to West Coast’s social media, illustrates a club gracious and humble in victory following an edge-of-your-seat final.

It wasn’t all work, however, as images from the post-match revelry at the MCG and the official after-party at Crown show, Eagles players certainly did enjoy their moment.

Lewis Jetta in particular showing off his dance skills on stage in front of the packed MCG crowd, flinging his jacket off in a move he dubbed ‘a little bit naughty.’

‘We’ve been having a bit of a theme about head, heart and gut. The heart’s the love of the game, we all love this game, and the gut is about the last quarter,’ West Coast coach Adam Simpson said at the post match press conference.

‘The instructions weren’t too much outside of that and I don’t know what to feel… honestly, I’m blown away,’ he said.

‘We spoke about spirit, that was probably the last piece… we changed the attitude… and i’m not surprised they did what they did today.’
