BUSINESS CLOSE: Inflation hits 9.1%; JD Sports posts record profit; Berkeley Group reports bumper results
The FTSE 100 closed down 62.83 points at 7089.22. The UK inflation rate hit 9.1 per cent in May, its highest level since March 1982 as fuel and food prices continued to surge.
