The Spanish actress, 45, stunned in the midi dress with layers of feathered trim as she posed on the red carpet for the film’s debut at the Film4 Summer Screen in Somerset House.

The Nine star’s dress also had layers of white feathered detailing, along the skirt and on the capped sleeves.
Penélope finished her look with simple silver strapped heels and a white leather clutch bag with her glossy raven tresses pulled back into a loose up-do.

This marks the first time the Spanish-language film will be shown in the UK, ahead of its released on 23rd August.
Director Pedro Almodóvar was also in high spirits as he made an appearance at the launch adding some colour to proceedings with a bright pink jumper and checked blazer.
Pain and Glory marks the sixth time that Penélope has worked with director Pedro Almodóvar, who previously won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film in 1999 for All About My Mother.

The acclaimed star also won an Oscar for Best Supporting Actress for her work in Vicky Cristina Barcelona, and was nominated for the same award the following year for her work in Nine.
Pain and Glory – translated from Dolor y gloria – is a Spanish film about a director named Salvador Mallo in his decline – played by Banderas – as he reflects and revisits big moments and decisions in his life, including his childhood in the 1960s and when he emigrated with his family.

Other encounters the film documents include Salvador’s search of prosperity, the first desire, his first adult love in the 1980s, the pain of the breakup of this relationship, writing as a therapy to forget and the premature discovery of cinema.
The film sees Antonio play the lead role, and he recently won Best Actor at the Cannes Film Festival for his acclaimed performance.
