Sydney mum’s GoFundMe raises more than $40k after she dies in her sleep, leaving five kids, husband

Shock as a devoted wife and mother, 39, dies suddenly and mysteriously in her sleep just two weeks after giving birth to the couple’s beautiful fifth child

  • Andrea Marambio died unexpectedly in her sleep last Tuesday morning
  • Her youngest child, Tristian, was born just two weeks before her death
  • Shocked family friend said the children will ‘never see their mother again’

Five children are mourning the death of their beloved mother after she suddenly died in her sleep aged just 39, leaving her childhood sweetheart to raise them alone.

Sydney mum Andrea Marambio died unexpectedly and was found in bed last Tuesday morning, devastating her partner Daniel and their children Gabriel, Fabian, Enrique, Sebastian and Tristian.

Baby Tristian was born just two weeks before his mum’s death and will never know her.

‘Instead of waking up to their mother’s loving embrace, her poor children were met with the shocking news that they would never see their mother again,’ family friend Rend Nashi wrote on a GoFundMe page for the family.

‘Andrea and Daniel have been in love since they were 15 years old, and he now has to face life without her.

‘Our hearts are simply shattered.’

Daniel took to Twitter this week to ask his followers to send love to their family and friends.

‘Just to answer everything in one post. My partner since 16yrs old, the mother of our five children passed away this morning,’ he wrote.

‘I’ll be gone for a bit, take care of yourselves, tell the ones closest to you that you love them.’

Family friend Ayman Khamas wrote on Facebook about his ‘friend of over 20 years who (died) only two weeks after giving birth leaving behind a husband and five children, including the new born baby who will not grow to know his mother’.

Mr Khamas asked if people could help the family through the GoFundMe page.

‘Money will never bring back a beautiful mother and a loving wife back to her family (but) it will certainly assist in not just covering the funeral costs but also providing for the family,’ he wrote.

Mr Khamas said the family would need help ‘until such point as the father can return back to work once the newborn is old enough to go to childcare’.

‘It is also important to ensure that the children have what they need to continue school and education so they don’t go on the wrong path in life,’ he added, thanking everyone who had been able to donate.

Ms Marambio and her husband were both very keen soccer fans and she was a member of the Southern District Raiders club in the Moorebank, a suburb in the west of Sydney.

‘It is with great regret that we learn of Andrea Marambio’s recent passing. (She) was a member of the SD Raiders family for five years,’ the club wrote in a message.

‘Our heartfelt condolences to Daniel and his family on your loss … Everyone will miss her tremendously.’

All donations to the family’s GoFundMe page will contribute towards funeral costs and the immediate needs of the children as they start to slowly rebuild their lives.

As of Monday afternoon, the appeal for Ms Marambio’s family had raised more than $43,000.
